Malala: Activist for Girls' Education

Persona Poem - Malala
I am passionate and loyal
I live in Pakistan where the mountains are plenty and waterfalls are pure
I wonder what a world where men and women learned equally would look like
I hear strict rules
I see my mother who cannot read or write
I want freedom and equality
I’m as persistant as an earthquake
I am passionate, loyal, resilient, and curious.
I question what life beyond these societal walls could be
I feel courageous in the movement towards equal education
I taste cardamom tea
I worry that girls' rights of today will continue to diminish
I excel at not becoming discouraged in the face of adversity
I understand that change in the unknown is difficult
I am passionate, loyal, resilient, and curious.
I say girls deserve equal and proper education
I believe there is greatness in our future
I dream of my daughter's daughter's education
I try to relate to others
I hope you can grow to understand
I was once a small voice
But now I am a voice for women and equality
I am passionate and loyal.
